Mechanical & Electrical
From minor upgrades to large-scale redevelopments, our expertise in mechanical and electrical management ensures the seamless integration and critical performance of M&E systems in all public sector refurbishment projects. This includes the in-house manufacture of our own Integrated Panel Systems.
As a principal contractor overseeing mechanical and electrical (M&E) works on a project, our role extends far beyond general construction, encompassing a specialised and highly integrated management responsibility. This involves taking the lead in coordinating all aspects of the M&E package, from initial design review and value engineering to procurement, installation, testing, and commissioning.
We are responsible for selecting, appointing, and managing specialist M&E subcontractors, ensuring their compliance with project specifications, health and safety regulations, and the overall construction program. This includes meticulously planning the interfaces between various M&E systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire protection, security, data) and other building elements, mitigating risks, resolving conflicts, and maintaining seamless communication across all trades to deliver a fully functional, efficient, and compliant building system.
To deliver comprehensive turnkey solutions for all public sector project requirements, we integrate all necessary services with leading professionals and specialist approved contractors to ensure a seamless service and a hassle-free experience.

"It was a pleasure working with Hygienic Finishes on the Interventional Radiology project at Watford General Hospital. As a specialist contractor, it was essential that the main examination room, control room and technical rooms were handed over in line with our pre-installation requirements to allow our Philips team to deliver a four-week programme for the installation of the new Fluoroscopy scanner.
Hygienic Finishes went above and beyond to ensure the space was fully prepared, coordinating effectively while sectioning off the remaining working area to allow their programme to continue without disruption. Their proactive approach and collaborative attitude played a key role in the successful completion of the installation."
